In 1851 Ebenezer Elijah and his first wife, Harriett were living with his father Thomas and his step-mother, Lorinda and their 8 children. He had a photo business in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. By 1880 he and Harriett had moved to Leavenworth, Kansas, USA. The 1900 census lists him as a photographer. He is married by that time to Alice Putney. Alice had 9 children by a previous marriage but Ebenezer had no children by either wife. At age 81 he is listed in the 1910 USA census as living in Leavenworth with Alice and one of Alice's sons.
