| John Henery lived in Drumless (= Drumlish), a townland situated in the electorial division of Corr, in the County of Cavan, Ireland. In 1811, the family set sail for America. After seven weeks, they arrived in New York, then on to Albany, and by boat and wagon up the Mohawk trail to Niagara Falls (Lewiston), and thence by boat to Toronto (York). In 1816, John bought a farm in the Township of Whitby, at Port Oshawa-on-the-Lake. There is no record of any children from his second marriage. |
